Anna University Chennai admissions for Other State Candidates.

I heard there will be a two types of admission procedure in Anna University Chennai, that is admission notifications for Other State Candidates and local candidates, Is this true people.....Why there is such kind of procedure, for what joy is this procedure?

Yeah friend, at the time of short listing, the candidates are considered under different categories for counselling following the rules of reservation of
Government of Tamil Nadu. Those students who have passed their XI, XII or degrees from Tamil Nadu comes under Tamil Nadu students category. And the students who have studied outside Tamil Nadu but originally belons to Tamil Nadu should produce a Nativity Certificate from the Tahsildar of their Native Taluk / District of Tamil Nadu for considering them as Tamil Nadu Candidate. The candidates from other states come under open category.
