Hello Friend, if you want to qualify the gate exam then prepare yourself from the beginning of your 1st semester. If you are in last Semester then go through your all b tech books according to the gate syllabus.

Examination Pattern:

The GATE will be consider a single paper type exam.
The question paper consists of only multiple choice objective questions each having four choices
for the answer.
Total duration of the exam 3 hours.
The total number of question 65 for 100 marks.

Study Tips:

* First of all make a proper strategy before starting preparation of the examination.
* Then Collect the Syllabus for the GATE exam.
* Ask a GATE Topper, if he/she had compromised with his/her semester results for GATE??
* Buy or get a copy of previous year question papers if possible with solutions.
* Always try to go through the standard books which are easily available and in which you can easily understand the concepts.
This will improve your learning ability.
* Read syllabus and question papers carefully
