Looking for guidance for student sincerely aspiring for Medicine

My son who is in Std 8 has got abundent interest in Biology and aspires to join MBBS. Can anyone advice me to put him in the right track from now on to enable him to achieve the same under merit channel.

Try to help your son develop interest in physics and chemistry as well and once he reach 11th standard give him proper coaching and MBBS entrance examination books as well.

Well if you are seriously thinking to study medical than dropping a year might be fruitful if you study really well in those periods of time. Otherwise you can enroll with some other medical related course and prepare for the entrance, so that you don’t waste an academic year if not selected also.

Dear you can enroll yourself with a good medical entrance coaching institute and dedicate yourself to the study as much as possible in those periods of time.

What if I don’t get good coaching centers in my city/ town?

In that case you can take up B.Sc in Physic / chemistry/ Biology subjects and prepare by referring some very good books published mainly for medical entrances. Along with this you can courier the study material from some of the reputed coaching centre by paying them. But the best think would be you station in Delhi for a year and do coaching as this will help you a lot.
