    Name few books and suggest questions for preparing verbal ability section?

    Hello friends, I am an MBA aspirant. I just want to know the kind of questions asked in verbal ability section and please suggest few books for the preparation of this section.

    Hi friend, verbal ability section tests the language skills of the candidate regarding that the questions are asked on verbal reasoning, syllogisms, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill In the Blanks, odd man out, one word substitution, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Jumbled paragraphs (6 sentences with first and last fixed), Sentence Correction, idioms, Sentence completion, contextual usage, Foreign language words used in English, Different usage of same word etc. Below listed books can enhance your verbal ability skills-

    • A Communicative Grammar of English by: Geoffrey Leech
    • Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
    • 7.30 Days to a More Powerful Vocabulary by Wilfred Funk and Norman Lewis
    • Verbal Ability by Arun Sharma
    • English Proficiency by IMS India
    • Business English and Communication By: Clark
    • Wren and Martin English Grammar
