What all important things should I keep in mind while preparing for civil services main paper?

Well there is very less time gap between the declaration of preliminary exam result and the main exam, so it is advisable to begin preparation for the main well in advance. Moreover, one should make a careful selection of optional paper- II, as this paper carries more marks and a candidate is supposed to fare well in the examination if he/she does well in the optional paper. One should have access to good books including regular reading habit of newspapers and competition magazine. There should be no room for selective study.
